eBay Item Description: Fresh from an Estate Sale, you are bidding on a Vintage, Antique, DeWitt LaFrance, Superite Mechanical Pencil. Lead comes out and retracts as it is supposed to do. On the top of the barrel, right above the clip it says Superite, Makers DeWitt-LaFrance Co., Cambridge, Mass., N. Silver Patent Pending. The N. Silver stands for Nickel Silver. It measures approximately 5 1/4″ in length. Some tarnish. Looks like previous owner may have started to clean it up where there is a little pitting near the clip, but they stopped. My suspicion is someone tried to acid test it to see if it is .925 silver. Looks like it can be polished out, so, I leave that up to the new owner as to how shiny they want it.
