SUPER SCANNER ONE BASE ANTENNA Up for sale is a totally new Scanner base/Ham antenna that covers reception from 25 mhz. thru 1300MHZ from well known Antenna designer Lowbander. It receives with all modes: Analog or Digital transmissions. The Super Scanner One has 4 separate elements, hence 4 separate antennas made of 100% pure copper, inside the plastic tube so users will get maximum single band resonant frequency performance with the highest signal strength. This is a feature many antennas on Ebay do not have! BEWARE OF SCANNER ANTENNAS THAT ARE UNDER 19” IN LENGTH! USUALLY THEY WILL BE NOTHING MORE THAN RUBBER DUCKIES JUST STUCK INSIDE A PVC TUBE! The Super Scanner 1 has a single element for reception on the 25mhz-220 Mhz range(This includes CB channels, the Aircraft frequencies, 2 Meter/220MHz Ham, Fire and Law enforcement frequencies), another element for the 400-500 MHZ range(This includes Ham, Fire, Police, local government frequencies), a third element for the 700-900 MHZ band, (This is the new popular Law Enforcement & Fire frequencies, Cell phone bands) and a fourth element for the 1300 MHZ. band(Mostly Ham and some Law Enforcement frequencies). Each element is carefully tuned for maximum signal reception so the antenna performs like 4 separate mono band antennas. A ground plane element for each band is enclosed in the PVC tube and completes the antenna. Many scanner antennas sold on Ebay never mention the groundplane, because their antenna does NOT have a built in groundplane or counterpoise. The Super Scanner One has 4 separate groundplanes, one for each of the 4 separate antennas!! FYI: Scanner users should understand that the VHF/UHF radio signals transmitted by police, fire, govt., public service agencies, and ham repeaters are mostly line of sight signals. Scanner listeners in mountainous areas may have serious problems because of this . This means if your home is in a valley or location that is in a low spot, geographic terrain (hills and mountains) will block your reception of signals. This is true for ALL ANTENNAS, unless you install an antenna high enough to see over the low areas, your reception will be limited by these natural features.If you don’t have a clear line of sight to the transmitting towers, reception will be very difficult. Do your homework and check out where the towers you want to hear are located. Height above ground is the most important feature of a good scanner antenna installation. If you live in such an area, it might be smart to consider the same antenna but with the 50’ of coax so it can be raised higher in the air. Beware of Ebay Sellers who don’t mention this and just brag about their antennas. Honesty in selling is important and Lowbander has always followed this practice! Enclosed in a sealed PVC tube, the antenna is a waterproof unit for outdoor use in any weather conditions. The antenna is approximately 36″ in length. *ALL BNC COAX CONNECTORS ARE SOLDERED!! NO CHEAP CRIMP or UNRELIABLE TWIST ON CONNECTORS HERE!! This is an important feature for long term use. FREE LINKS TO SEVERAL SCANNER DATA BASE FREQUENCY LISTS ARE INCLUDED IN THE INSTRUCTIONS! The Super Scanner One Antenna comes with a 30 foot length of RG 59, low loss, high quality coax(Color of coax insulation may vary between black, white or beige ), which means excellent performance and more signal to your radio! It has a standard BNC connector on the coax to plug directly into almost all scanners. Check your radio’s manual if you don’t know which coax plug fits your radio. Adapter plugs are available from any scanner store or on line radio distributor like Universal Radio. Just like all VHF-UHF antennas, the Super Scanner One Antenna works best at the highest height you can install it. But the eye bolt on the top of the antenna allows it to be hung over a nail, screw, curtain rod, or about any support a user can install. Many users have simply hit a nail in the wall of the room or the side of a house and immediately started to enjoy the excellent performance of this antenna. It works best in the vertical position. Whether outside or in, it is easy to attach the antenna with the convenience of eye bolt on top. The antenna can easily be moved around your home for best reception. Many users have hung it from their roof and have been amazed at its performance! The Super Scanner One is a true hang and play antenna!
