Designed by Alfred Philippe in 1949 for the “Enchanted Garden” collection, this Crown Trifari brooch is featured in the 1950 Mothers Day ad, “Mothers of every age…. Love Jewelry by TRIFARI”. The 2″ x 1 1/2″ pin is formed into a wreath of gold Trifarium plate, set with faux pearls amongst clear marquise and chaton stones. It is stamped TRIFARI PAT. PEND. Designated Patent #157,533 in 1950. Although created years later, the 1″ x 3/4″ clip-on earrings, stamped with the crown TRIFARI logo, are a superb match, a trait of many Phillipe’s designs. These midcentury baubles are in excellent vintage condition. Plating is nice and bright. The pearls are glossy, the rhinestones clear, and all stones are present. There are NO DEAD STONES. I have a lot of vintage costume jewelry for sale, and will ALWAYS combine shipping! Buy as much as you want, but don’t pay until I send you an invoice with the adjusted shipping amount.
