For sale this classic beautiful very early wristwatch chronograph, super rare and elegant MOERIS chronograph men watch, made in 1940s. It is fully original (except the replaced leather band). This watch comes with a rare specila column wheel MOERIS movement. This watch has been fully professionaly serviced recently, it is in excellent working condition. DIAL: Authentic and original MOERIS chronograph men watch dial. It is fully original, never repainted, replaced. This dial is in incredible excellent mint condition. Dial is : “MOERIS”, “Antimagnetic”, and “swiss made” marked. Matte cream dial with Guilloched sunbursts subdials: at 3 for 30 minute recorder and at 9 for small seconds. Original hands. All hands are original. Telemetre scale on outer dial. 1/5 seconds divisions. Dial is in beautiful condition. CASE: Beautiful authentic and original MOERIS chronograph men watch round case. It is 18K gold plated case with hermetic snap back case made of fine and solid stainless steel. On external side is : “Fond Acier Inoxydable”, “74201” (reference number) marked. Inside it is hand made perlage finished. Case measurements: without crown: 35 (34.70) mm Diameter. Lug to lug: 42.39 mm. Original pushers. This case is in beautiful excellent condition. MOVEMENT: Authentic and original MOERIS chronograph movement, it is a mechanical movement with a manual winding system. Movement is : “MOERIS”, “seventeen 17 jewels”, “Swiss” marked. Bridges are anglage finished and Lignes de Geneve hand made finished. This is a special Moeris Movement. Very hard to find. This movement has a column wheel. This movement is in excellent working condition, it has been fully professionally serviced recently by master watchmakers. A Brief History about this rare MOERIS movement: “Provided the historical context in which we are moving, and without going into too much specific with respect to models and functions, let´s start by saying that in reality the first wrist chronographs in history were nothing more than adapted pocket watches therefore characterized by rather large dimensions, not so comfortable to wear.
