DESCRIPTION Neil Young & The Bluenotes – “This Note’s For Your” Reprise Records 1-25719 (Stereo) from 1988. Hard to find Original U.S. First Pressing Vinyl Jump / Blues / Pop / Classic / Rock – or what they call “Power Swing” – album from Neil Young and The Bluenotes featuring Chad Cromwell, Rick Rosas, Frank Sampedro, Steve Lawrence, Ben Keith, Larry Cragg, Claude Calliet, John Fumo and Tom Bray plus Guests Ralph Molina, George Whitsell and Steve Onus. In the Original Cover with NO Cutouts or promo markings. Includes the Original Lyrics / Picture, Credits Inner Sleeve. This is the Original U.S. First Pressing as indicated by the Runout Vinyl / Matrix markings which read: Matrix / Runout (Side 1 Etched, “TML-M”, Allied Logo Stamped): 1-25719-A-SH-2 TML-M [Allied ‘ɑ’ logo] B-30681-SH2 △20012 1-1Matrix / Runout (Side 2 Etched, “TML-X” Stamped): 1-25719 B-SH1 [Allied ‘ɑ’ logo] B-30682-SH1 △20012-X 1-1 TML-X CONDITION The Sleeve is in good shape. There is some fairly slight shelf wear and corner softening/wear. There is a crease in the upper right corner. Still very solid with no splits, stains, tears, cutouts, writing, etc. and would rate at least VG and really closer to VG+ I think. The Vinyl is in clean Glossy condition looking lightly played. There are some light scuffs and faint hairlines when you look close. At least VG+ visually and plays pretty much perfectly Near Mint all through. The Labels are Near Mint. The inner sleeve has light ring impression and 2” part splits in all seams plus a 1/2” tear on the opening edge but still at least VG+. If I provide Play Grades it is done as a courtesy but I only guarantee the Visual Grade. If you are not familiar with this grading system (or even if you think you are!), please check it out before bidding. I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine’s words: Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don’t affect one’s listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,… Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I’ve had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But…. it also means that I don’t issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. “That’s not MY idea of a VG record!” – I don’t know what your standards are and, as such, can’t grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less!
