Quiet background and vinyl. This rarely happens. VG+ – More than a few ticks or pops per side. Quiet background and vinyl. The noise only rarely makes itself known and, for the most part, doesn’t interfere with the music. This is about as good as it gets for pre-1965 US vinyl. VG -The background is no longer quiet. However, for the most part, the music overpowers the noise. VG- – The noise is sometimes intrusive. G+ – The noise is often intrusive, but the music is usually enjoyable. G – Only sometimes is the music enjoyable. F (Fair) – Noisy. P (poor) – Your stylus is at risk!!!
