“RARE” SWATCH SKL100 ADAMASTOR PORTUGAL LISBOA EXPO 1998 ACCESS WATCH – NEW! YES! This is a brand new, never worn Swatch special edition watch that was issued for the Lisbon, Portugal World Fair Expo in 1998. It has the special Swatch ACCESS! feature that allowed the watch wearer to enter the Expo without the need for a ticket. Swatch watch released several packaging editions for this watch. The one I am offering is the most common. However from the “Swatch Watch a definitive guide 1983-2000” this watch was given XXX for collectibility (out of XXXX). That’s a pretty high collectiblity rating just two years later in 2000. The other editions included a “MAXI” MSKL100 version with raised watch face dome (XX), the Water/Sand Filled Tube package edition sold in Portugal only (600 pieces, XXX), the Expo 98 Celebrity Signature package/box edition only sold by internet auction (120 pieces, XXXX), and the Gracie The Baby Dugong package edition sold only in Singapore (XX). I purchased this watch new on Mar 13, 1998 when traveling thru the UK. I collected a number of Swatch watches in the late 1990s that I never wore. This watch was kept in its package and stored in a box with other watches kept on a closet shelf for all these years. As you can see in the pictures, the clear outer sleeve, box, are all in like new condition. The original papers (Tags) are also stil in the box with the watch. I put a new 390 Renata battery in this watch several days ago. Since then it is keeping time just fine. You can see the second hand moving just fine on my first 6 pictures takem in sequemce. I will ship this watch well packed in a solid box. US buyers can choose either USPS Ground Advantage or USPS Priority Mail for shipping. Both with tracking. This watch was created in line with the motto “The oceans: a heritage for the future”. The blue plastic strap features stylized fishes outlined in white, which are also printed inside each other. The dial is skeletonized with light blue indexing and blue hands. The only color accent is the orange of the arbor, access logos, hands and single fish. Built in the special is a precision quartz movement, with city pass (ACCESS) function and it is water resistant.”
