Here’s a lovely c.1950 vintage ‘D. Noblet’ model Bb Boehm system clarinet by Leblanc of Paris. It is made of fine grenadilla wood with solid nickel alloy keys, posts and rings, with a large bore of .585″. All pieces are original, no cracks or repairs. This is supposedly the ‘step-down’ from Leblanc’s pro models, but it would be hard to tell, especially on the earlier D. Noblet instruments, easily distinguishable by the oval, Buffet style cartouche.Its been disassembled, soaked in oil, swedged and countersunk, body, keys and posts buffed, new white Roo leather pads and key/tenon corks installed. This well made clarinet is in great shape for its age and has a warm, open tone with good intonation and comfortable ergonomics. Comes with original case in solid condition, with a cool Shriner’s emblem 🙂 Please note that auctions may end at any time, as these instruments are often also offered on my site – ‘The Vintage Clarinet Doctor” – where more pics and information are available.
